How The Process Works

1) Report your injury to WorkSafeBC and obtain a Claim Number

After reporting your injury to your employer, the next step is to report your injury at WorkSafeBC. Upon reporting your injury to WorkSafeBC, you'll obtain a claim number. It's essential to provide this claim number to your physiotherapist, along with your Care Card Number, the name and phone number of your claim adjustor, your employer's name and contact details, and the date of the injury.

*You must report your injury to WorkSafeBC within 60 days of the injury to be approved for funding. Please contact WorkSafeBC if you are past this timeframe.

2) Book a WorkSafeBC Physiotherapy Initial Assessment

Once you have your claim number, book your WorkSafeBC Physiotherapy Initial Assessment with us. Following this visit, you are entitled to 15 funded Physiotherapy sessions in the first 6 weeks after your injury.

3) Receive a Customized Treatment Plan

Following your Initial Assessment, your Physiotherapist will create a customized treatment plan that will be followed during your treatment sessions. This includes, but is not limited to: soft tissue therapy, IMS, joint mobilizations, and customized exercise rehabilitation programs.
